a friendly exoskeleton?

I just came across this video for the new Sarcos Exoskeleton suit (on Gizmodo via LiveLeak). I was totally blown away..

  • Wow that is pretty incredible, i heard a while back that MIT was creating something similar, not sure if this is a collaboration of some sort. It was called soldier of the future i think.

  • i would echo your post completely... its shameful but true... our country/ gov is structured such that wars bring companies like sarco much more profits than helping those with disabilities... and becomes a vicious circle
  • Honestly, im not a fan of this exoskeleton idea. It would be great if it was used positively (e.g Construction, Prosthetics etc), but we can assume that it will be used mainly for war!

    Although one other great use for it, is rescue work e.g working through Earthqauke, Tsunami or Hurricane wrecks.

    I guess time will tell...
