Video Games for the Elderly

I have been hearing more and more about Elderly getting involved in video and virtual gaming. Here is one example on Gizmodo of elderly playing bowling on Wii’s even going as far as creating Bowling Tournaments across the entire elderly home.

  • Elderly gaming is totally legitimate. There have been various physical therapy clinics and rehab centers that have published research based on therapy interventions for people of all ages using the Wii....most known have been all the studies for the obesity epidemic and children. The balance benefit alone would be huge for the elderly...I like the nimble mind component.
